GroupTherapy
Nedanza offers body-oriented and psychodynamic group therapy. Both an 8-session track and an ongoing track are available. Both tracks aim to develop deeper contact with your inner world. We work from a psychodynamic approach combined with body-oriented exercises, including exercises from Tai Chi. Tai Chi is originally a martial art, but is also used to promote health and wellbeing.
What is group therapy?
Group therapy is talking with others to better understand yourself. The idea is that by talking with others, you learn about yourself, your problems and how to address them. You try to accept feelings that you normally run away from, and learn to deal with them. This makes you more familiar with your feelings, needs and your inner world.
Attention is also paid to how things from your past still influence you today, such as feelings you had to hide as a child. With the help of the group and the therapists, you work on allowing these feelings now, which often brings relief and more control over your life.
In consultation with your therapist, the choice between the short-term or ongoing track can be made.
Body-oriented psychodynamic group therapy – ongoing
This group therapy is primarily focused on body-oriented exercises from Tai Chi. In this way, we work on awareness of emotions, experiencing relaxation and achieving inner balance.
This is an open group. You can join at any time. Sessions take place every Monday evening from 19:00 to 20:30. We close the session with a cup of tea.
Body-oriented psychodynamic group therapy – 8 sessions
In this group therapy, an open group discussion takes place without a fixed agenda, combined with body-oriented exercises (for example, registering emotions in the body or Tai Chi exercises). Through sharing and receiving feedback, you gain more insight into emotions and certain patterns.
This is a closed group. After registration, attendance at every session is expected. The next group starts mid-January 2026. Sessions take place 8 times on Tuesdays (English) and Wednesdays (Dutch) from 09:15 to 10:45.
